On this week's Playlist...

As we continue to gather in music throughout the month of September, we will continue to explore a variety of Indigenous perspectives, varieties of music and celebrations. In preparation for Orange Shirt Day next month (October 1), we have discussed grade appropriate stories of residential schools.

On the playlist this week are some of the collections from Sorrel Rider, our friend and knowledge keeper, Darcy Turning Robe and his drummers. Follow this link, for the song Graceful Grass. Students even learned some basic Grass Dance steps and how to participate in a Grand Entry.
